Grassroots trade union in Dong Nai organizes swimming competition for workers
Dong Nai - Freewell Co., Ltd.'s Trade Union is developing a plan to organize a swimming competition for workers in the company.
On July 23, the Freewell Co., Ltd. Trade Union (Bac Dong Phu Industrial Park, Dong Phu Commune, Dong Nai Province) announced the organization of a "green track" swimming competition in 2025 to all workers.
The contest will take place at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025. The contest location is at Yen Island - Son Ha swimming pool, Dong Phu commune. Athletes will register from July 28 to August 8.
The contestants are union members and workers working at the company. Each union group will send at least 2 athletes (male and female) to participate.
Athletes will compete in 50m freestyle swimming and 4x50m team support (2 men + 2 women).
The organizing committee will award the first prize to individuals with 3 million VND, the first prize for support teams with 4 million VND; the second prize for individuals with 2 million VND and the second prize for teammates with 3 million VND for athletes.
The Freewell Co., Ltd. Trade Union said that the swimming competition aims to create a healthy playground. Improve the health and solidarity of union members and workers.
Previously, the Freewell Company Limited Trade Union organized a training course on skills to prevent drowning and injury for children of union members and workers. There are about 150 students who are children of workers participating in the program. They were trained in swimming skills and escape skills.
The program is organized free of charge, aiming to equip children of workers with skills to prevent drowning and to protect themselves from safety.
It is known that this is a FDI-invested enterprise specializing in the production of leather shoes for export with over 6,000 workers. This is also a business with a typical grassroots trade union with many activities to care for workers. The above programs are organized to take care of union members and workers in the company.
