Grassroots trade unions recommend companies in Ho Chi Minh City to support nearly 1 billion VND for people affected by floods
HCMC - A foreign-invested enterprise (FDI) in HCMC has decided to support nearly 1 billion VND for people affected by floods.
On October 9, Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Cua It - A Chau Technology Company Limited (Tan Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the company's leaders had agreed with the Trade Union's proposal to support people affected by storms and floods.
Accordingly, the Trade Union has compiled the damage situation of the provinces caused by storm No. 10 and floods in recent days. The storm caused death, causing many families to damage their homes...
The Trade Union recommended that the company share support for people affected by floods and storms following the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and the company's leaders agreed to do so.
Currently, the company has transferred 300 million VND to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, the company will support 685 households with a total amount of 671 million VND. The company will hand over this money to the Trade Union directly to the flood-affected areas in coordination with the locality to give to households.

It is known that this is an FDI enterprise that manufactures wooden furniture located in Tan Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The business owner has invested and been attached to Vietnam for many years. During their working and living close to Vietnamese workers, business owners and foreign experts also love Vietnamese people and culture. The company has agreed to let the Trade Union carry out many activities to propagate Vietnamese history and culture among workers. In 2024, the company supported more than 1 billion VND for people affected by floods.
