Announcing the decision to establish a commune, ward and special zone trade union in Quang Ninh
Quang Ninh - On the afternoon of July 11, the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to establish a commune-level trade union and held a conference to deploy work in the last 6 months of the year.
At the conference, the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) announced the decision to establish 22 commune, ward and special zone trade unions.
After merging commune-level administrative units and not organizing district-level government, Quang Ninh province has 54 communes, wards and special zones.
Based on regulations and actual situation at commune-level administrative units, Quang Ninh province has 22 commune-level trade unions under the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor.
Commune-level trade unions have legal status, have their own seals and accounts; functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure as prescribed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Commune-level trade unions manage grassroots trade unions in the area assigned by the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor.
At the conference, the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor also announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee and positions in the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee of the commune-level trade union. Within no more than 12 months from the date the Executive Committee is appointed, a congress or conference of delegates must be held to elect a new Executive Committee.
Along with that, the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to transfer a number of grassroots unions previously under the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union to the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor from July 1, 2025.
