Police return property to male tourist who dropped in Hue Imperial City
HUE - Phu Xuan Ward Police quickly verified and returned the wallet, money and documents to an American tourist who dropped them in the Hue Imperial City area.
On January 3, Phu Xuan Ward Police (Hue City Police) said that they had returned the property lost to a US citizen during a visit to Hue Imperial City.
Previously, on January 2, while performing their duties, Phu Xuan Ward Police received a wallet picked up by Ms. Phan Thi Anh Nguyet (born in 2005, residing in Dan Dien Commune, Hue City) in the Dai Noi area and proactively brought it to hand over.
After checking, the wallet contained many personal documents, bank cards and the amount of 2,027,000 VND and 35 USD. The police force has made a record and quickly verified the information to find the owner.
The verification results showed that the wallet belonged to Mr. James Jay McKinney, a US citizen, who was staying and visiting Hue City. Phu Xuan Ward Police contacted and organized the return of all assets to tourists in accordance with regulations.
After receiving the property, Mr. James Jay McKinney expressed his emotion and thanked the police force and local people. He said that timely and dedicated support has helped him feel more secure when traveling and experiencing Vietnam.
