Hue City Police help people overcome the consequences of floods, ready to respond to storm No. 13

Urgently overcome and ensure people's safety

On November 5, in Quang Dien commune, the commune police coordinated with the government and people to reinforce the vulnerable dike section in Niem Pho village (in the Bo river basin) that was seriously eroded. This dike line plays a role in preventing floods, protecting dozens of households and inter-commune traffic routes. Thanks to timely support, the dike has been reinforced, ensuring safety for people and vehicles passing through.

In Long Quang commune, a landslide at km34 of Provincial Road 14B caused traffic disruption. The commune police quickly arrived, blocked the two ends of the landslide, placed warning signs and instructed people to follow the replacement route. The Commune People's Committee has sent an urgent report requesting the city to promptly direct the repair and clearance of the route.

On the same day, at Pe Ke Pass (Ho Chi Minh Road, A Luoi 1 Commune), a large landslide caused traffic congestion. A Luoi 1 Commune Police coordinated with local forces to put up warning signs and divert vehicles. By 10:00 a.m. the same day, the route was opened to traffic, serving the transportation of goods and necessities to the highlands.

The Mobile Police Department, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police and the Police of communes and wards continue to clean up mud, garbage, and clear sewers on roads, schools, and hospitals, contributing to cleaning the environment, helping people stabilize their lives soon.

Proactively responding to storm No. 13

The Hue City Police Department has requested units to proactively respond to storm No. 13, ensure 100% on-duty personnel, and be mobile ready in case of emergency situations. Forces have increased inspections of vulnerable areas, areas at risk of deep flooding and landslides to promptly evacuate people, protect the safety of life and property.

Traffic police and local police are on duty at flooded and landslide points to direct traffic and prevent congestion and accidents. Professional teams increase night patrols to prevent criminals from taking advantage of natural disasters to steal property.

In addition, the grassroots police coordinated with the government to propagate people to stay at home, anchor boats, reserve food, and proactively respond to complicated developments of the storm.
