Transferring management of 16,339 trade union members in industrial parks
Ho Chi Minh City - 16,339 trade union members were transferred management to the Trade Union Working Group of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.
On the afternoon of March 16, Working Group No. 1 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation organized the handover of 85 grassroots trade unions at enterprises in Tan Binh Industrial Park to the Working Group of Trade Unions of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation for management.
Accordingly, the total number of trade union members currently active in these 85 grassroots trade unions is 16,339 people.
At the handover ceremony, Area Management Working Group No. 1 reported on the current situation of the grassroots trade unions being handed over.
It is noteworthy that the prolonged labor dispute at Vinh Thong Trading and Service Production Co., Ltd.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has repeatedly reported, Vinh Thong Trading and Service Production Co., Ltd. has been authorized by 137 employees to sue because the company owes nearly 3.1 billion VND in salaries and has not paid social insurance of about 4.8 billion VND.
To date, Vinh Thong Trading and Service Production Co., Ltd. has not fully paid its salary debt and has not paid social insurance for the above 137 employees according to the judgments and decisions recognizing the agreement of the parties of the Court.
