Khanh Hoa Trade Union officials offer incense to commemorate 64 Gac Ma soldiers
Khanh Hoa - At the Gac Ma Memorial Area, Khanh Hoa Trade Union officials together offered incense to commemorate heroes and martyrs who sacrificed themselves to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands.
On the morning of March 12, at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area (Cam Lam commune, Khanh Hoa province), the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation organized an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 38th anniversary of the battle to protect Gac Ma Island in the Truong Sa archipelago (March 14, 1988 - March 14, 2026).



Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Khac Ha - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province; leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, representatives of local leaders and nearly 30 trade union officials throughout the system.
At the ceremony, the delegation solemnly placed a wreath bearing the words "Eternal remembrance of the merits of heroic martyrs" at the foot of the monument "Those who lie at the horizon" and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the Navy officers and soldiers who bravely sacrificed for the sacred sea and island sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Delegates also offered incense at the memorial tomb of 64 officers and soldiers and visited the underground museum of the Memorial Area to recall historical milestones of the process of building and protecting Vietnam's sea and island sovereignty in the Truong Sa special zone.
According to the leader of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, in the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland, millions of outstanding children of the Vietnamese nation bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the country.
38 years ago - March 14, 1988, 64 officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy bravely sacrificed themselves while protecting the national flag and sovereignty over the homeland's sea and islands.
The sacrifice of the soldiers has become a sacred symbol of patriotism, indomitable spirit and the will to protect the sea and island sovereignty of the Vietnamese nation.


At the memorial ceremony, trade union officials expressed their deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs.
At the same time, he affirmed that he will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, unity and effort in work, striving to successfully complete the assigned political tasks, contributing to building a new era for the nation and the country.
