Anemia hospital, ward officers and police clash to donate emergency blood
Quang Tri - Knowing that the hospital had run out of blood reserved to serve the treatment of patients, ward officers and police officers immediately came to donate blood.
On September 8, Trieu Hai Regional General Hospital (Quang Tri province) confirmed that the unit is lacking blood reserves to serve the examination and treatment of patients.
To ensure emergency care and treatment for patients, this unit must reserve a "livestock bank" by making a list of doctors, nurses, hospital staff or people who need to donate blood voluntarily. In case of emergency, it will be recommended that those who register come to donate blood.
Mr. Le Thanh Duong - Director of Trieu Hai Regional General Hospital - said that on September 8, the hospital had out of prophylactic blood, so urgent supplements were needed. Knowing this information, on the same afternoon, Captain Nguyen Xuan Nguyen - Quang Tri Ward Police and Mr. Cap Pham Phi Bang - Quang Tri Ward Police were present at the unit to donate blood.
"We have collected 2 units of blood for emergency treatment for the patient. Currently, the hospital is short of blood and does not have a supply, so we must be proactive and really need volunteer cases like the two staff above" - Mr. Le Thanh Duong informed.
According to Quang Tri Ward Police, Captain Nguyen Xuan Nguyen was on duty at the unit when he learned that a local hospital urgently needed a blood volume for obstetric surgery. As soon as he received the information, Captain Nguyen Xuan Nguyen reported to the Command and urgently moved him to the hospital, directly donating 350ml of blood.
It is known that up to now, Captain Nguyen Xuan Nguyen has participated in voluntary blood donation more than 15 times, including 2 times of direct donation at Trieu Hai Regional General Hospital.
