Handing over the Union Shelter to union members with housing difficulties
Can Tho - Can Tho City Labor Federation handed over the Trade Union Shelter to help union member Ly Minh Duyen stabilize her housing, overcome difficulties, and improve her life.
On the afternoon of July 31, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) coordinated with Hamaco Hau Giang Concrete One Member Co., Ltd. to organize the handover ceremony of the Trade Union Shelter to union member Ly Minh Duyen in Thanh Hoa commune.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Cong Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, concurrently Head of the Trade Union Work Committee; representatives of local authorities, business leaders and the company's grassroots trade union.
Union member Ly Minh Duyen's family is in particularly difficult circumstances, Mr. Duyen is the only main breadwinner in the family. He had to take care of his elderly mother, mentally ill sister and young grandchild who was mentally underdeveloped. Despite his difficult life, Mr. Duyen always complies with labor discipline and actively participates in the trade union movement at the unit.
The house was repaired with support from the Trade Union Shelter Fund with a total value of 50 million VND, contributing to helping union members' families have a more stable and spacious place to live.
At the ceremony, the Can Tho City Labor Federation presented the decision to hand over the Union Shelter and practical gifts. The company's trade union also sent the family many support items.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Cong Khanh emphasized that the Trade Union Shelter program is not only an activity of taking care of housing but also a spiritual support, demonstrating the persistent companionship of the Trade Union organization with union members in difficult circumstances in the city. "This is the result of the companionship and sharing of the Trade Union organization and authorities at all levels, a great source of encouragement for Mr. Duyen to continue to strive to improve his life," said Mr. Khanh.
