Warm "Union Meal" at a garment factory with 1,200 workers in Lam Dong

More than 1,200 workers of the First Team Vietnam Garment Company Limited Branch (Loc Son Industrial Park, Lam Dong Province) have just had a special shift meal called "Union Meal".

Ms. Ka Bong - a worker at the company shared that although it had been announced in advance, when entering today's shift meal, many workers still felt excited and moved.

In addition to daily main dishes, this menu is supplemented with fried chicken wings with onions, fruit and yogurt.

In particular, the meal was attended by provincial union officials, the Board of Directors and the company's union. Union members in difficult circumstances also received gifts from the Provincial Labor Federation.

According to Ms. Tran Ngoc Nhu Quynh - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union, the daily shift meal for workers is 25,000 VND/meal. On this occasion, the union has mobilized the company to support and allocate more from the union's financial resources to increase the meal allowance to 50,000 VND.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang also attended the Union Meal and highly appreciated the efforts of grassroots unions in caring for workers lives, especially on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025).

Mr. Hoang added that in recent times, many grassroots trade unions in Lam Dong have coordinated with businesses to organize meals of higher value than usual, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and encouragement for workers.

This is a practical activity, demonstrating the accompanying role of the trade union organization in the sustainable development of enterprises.
