400 leather shoe workers in Hai Phong receive eye screening

At the program, 400 workers of Golden Star Company Limited were examined for eye screening: vision testing, measuring refractive errors, consulting on treatment of eye diseases. Also at the program, Hanoi Eye Hospital - Hai Phong also presented 400 gifts including eye supplements, eye care drugs and dozens of in-depth eye check-up vouchers to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 1,000,000 VND.

Ms. Bui Thi Hop - Chairwoman of the Company's Trade Union said that Sao Vang Company Limited currently has 6,500 employees, the need for medical examination, especially eye diseases of employees, is very high. "The eye examination program is a practical activity, which workers have been looking forward to for many days. Workers hope to participate in many health care activities organized by the Trade Union at all levels in the coming time" - Ms. Hop said.

Up to now, the City Labor Federation has organized eye examinations for union members at many enterprises, prioritizing special working environments for workers who are susceptible to eye-related diseases. Previously, on August 21, the free eye examination program was implemented at VLC Group Joint Stock Company and Hai Phong Urban Environment Company Limited with 400 beneficiaries.
