200 million VND for the champion team of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament

In 2024, the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament made a strong impression when receiving the attention of leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, and the support of localities, departments, unions and enterprises.

The tournament attracted a large number of workers in many industries, improving the quality of their expertise thanks to systematic investment. In particular, the tournament also spread humanistic values when it raised 2.1 billion VND to support workers affected by storm No. 3, donated 40 houses and supported 581 disadvantaged cases.

Following that success, in 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Tuoi Tre Newspaper will continue to coordinate in organizing the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament. Entering the 3rd year of organization, the tournament has affirmed its position as an annual and prestigious playground for workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide, contributing to promoting the movement of physical exercise, improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants, and laborers in particular and the whole society in general.

The tournament is organized in the format of 7-a-side football, according to the competition rules issued by VFF; deployed according to the Labor Federation system on a national scale, gathering nearly 40 participating football teams - representing the Trade Unions of provinces/cities, Industry Trade Unions and enterprises across the country.

Sharing at the draw ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Kien - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department - Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Deputy Head of the tournament Organizing Committee - emphasized the important political and social significance of the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025.

According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Kien, the tournament has created a healthy and useful playground for workers and civil servants to exercise their health and improve their cultural and spiritual life. In addition, through the tournament, it also contributes to the development of grassroots football, consolidating professional football in Vietnam.

According to the regulations of the Organizing Committee, the contestants are male workers, civil servants, and laborers, with Vietnamese nationality, working in agencies, units, and enterprises in economic sectors with trade unions; having labor contracts and participating in social insurance and health insurance for 1 year or more continuously up to the time of registration to compete; having a smartphone with VssID application of Vietnam Social Security and having a personal identification account on the VneID application of the Ministry of Public Security.

The 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament will go through 2 stages: The qualifying round will be held from September to October 2025 in the Northern region (Hanoi) and the Southern region (HCMC). The 16 best teams in the qualifying round will qualify for the National Finals, taking place in October in Ho Chi Minh City.

The total prize of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is up to 900 million VND. Of which, the national final round champion team received 200 million VND.

In addition to organizing football competitions, the Organizing Committee also implemented the "Love Bus" activity, to support health examination and consultation, and provide free medicine to workers in the export processing zone. In particular, this is also an opportunity for the Organizing Committee and leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to meet and encourage workers and laborers on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.
