150 outstanding delegates attended the 18th Cao Bang Provincial Trade Union Congress

On December 24, the first session of the 18th Cao Bang Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, took place solemnly, completing the contents according to the set program.

The Congress was attended by representatives of the Professional Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and more than 150 official delegates representing over 4,000 union members and workers in the province.

The 18th Cao Bang Provincial Trade Union Congress is an important political event, marking a new step in the development of the workers' movement and trade union activities in the province.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress focused on evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term (2023-2025 period), and at the same time determined the goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term, continuing to affirm the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.

At the first working session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, the Delegation for the Inspection of the status of delegates; approved the program and working regulations; listened to the report on the review of the status of delegates and the review report of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term XVII, 2023-2028.

The Congress also approved the personnel plan of the 18th Executive Committee and the personnel plan of the Delegation attending the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The working session elected 13 members of the Executive Committee of the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor, term XVIII, 2025-2030; elected 6 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031.

At the same time, the Congress listened to a report synthesizing comments on the draft Documents of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the draft Charter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (amended and supplemented).

Within the framework of the working session, the presentations of grassroots trade unions focused on discussing many key contents such as innovating trade union methods of operation; improving the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining; caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; promoting the role of trade union organizations in building a strong working class, meeting development requirements in the new period.

The first session of the 18th Cao Bang Provincial Trade Union Congress was successful, creating an important premise for the Congress to continue working and holding the solemn opening session on the morning of December 25, aiming to pass the Congress Resolution, opening a new development stage for the workers' movement and trade union activities in Cao Bang province.
