The Chief of Commune-level Public Security is Deputy Head of the Commune-level Civil Defense Command

Clause 3, Article 8 of Decree No. 200/2025/ND-CP (effective from August 23, 2025) stipulates the organizational structure of the Commune-level Civil Defense Command as follows:

3. Organizational structure

a) The head of the board is the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level;

b) Deputy Heads of the Committee include 1 Vice Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level who is the Standing Deputy Head and 3 Deputy Heads of the Committee who are the Commander of the Military Command, Chief of the Commune-level Police and the Head of the Economic or Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department assigned to state management of natural disaster prevention and control;

Thus, from August 23, the Head of the Commune-level Public Security is one of the Deputy Heads of the Commune-level Civil Defense Command.
