Standards for the Senior National Defense Inspectorate

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 17 of Decree 284/2025/ND-CP regulating the organization and operation of the National Defense Inspectorate (effective from November 6, 2025) stipulates the standards for the rank of Senior Inspector as follows:

1. As an officer of the Vietnam People's Army.

2. Graduated from university or higher in accordance with the expertise of the major or field of work.

3. Graduated from the Campaign - Strategy Advisory Training at the National Defense Academy.

4. Have a certificate of training in the senior inspectorate and other certificates as prescribed by law on cadres and civil servants.

5. Have a high level of political theory.

6. Having been appointed as a senior inspector for at least 04 years or having been a division-level commander (or equivalent) or an officer holding a rank equivalent to the rank of senior inspector transferred to an inspection agency and having worked at an inspection agency for at least 01 year.

Thus, the Senior National Defense Inspectorate must meet the standards as prescribed above.
