Reader baochuongxxx@gmail.com asked: In addition to annual leave, are officers, soldiers, and defense workers entitled to additional leave?

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 7, Circular 56/2025/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense stipulates special leave as follows:

In addition to the annual leave, soldiers, workers and national defense officials are entitled to special leave, each time not exceeding 10 days if they fall into one of the following cases:

1. Married or fathered or adopted children legally married.

2. The family encounters sudden difficulties due to the wife or husband; biological or legally adopted children; father, mother, legal guardian of the wife or husband who is seriously ill, has an accident, died, passed away or suffered heavy property damage due to natural disasters, fires, or dangerous epidemics.

Thus, in addition to the annual leave, officers, soldiers, workers and defense officials are entitled to special leave in some special circumstances as prescribed above.
