Things to make public when teaching extra classes

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 6 of Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning (effective from February 14, 2025) stipulates extra teaching and learning outside of school as follows:

1. Organizations or individuals organizing extra-curricular activities and extra-curricular activities that collect money from students (hereinafter referred to as extra-curricular facilities) must fulfill the following requirements:

a) Register a business in accordance with the provisions of law;

b) Publicly on the electronic information portal or listed at the place where the tutoring institution is headquartered on the subjects that are organized for extra classes; the duration of extra classes for each subject according to each grade; location, form, duration of organizing extra classes; list of teachers and the tuition fee collection before enrolling in extra classes (according to Form No. 02 in the Appendix to this Circular).

2. Extra teachers outside of school must ensure good moral qualities; have professional capacity suitable for the subjects they teach.

3. Teachers who are teaching at schools participating in extra-curricular teaching must report to the Principal or Director or head of the school (hereinafter referred to as the Principal) about the subjects, location, form, and time of participation in extra-curricular teaching (according to Form No. 03 in the Appendix to this Circular).

Thus, organizations or individuals organizing extra classes outside of school that collect fees from students must publicly disclose on the electronic information portal or post them at the place where the extra classes are organized; the duration of extra classes for each subject according to each grade; location, form, time of organizing extra classes; list of teachers and the tuition fee collection before enrolling in extra classes.
