Duties and powers of the Military Region Inspectorate according to the new regulations

The Lao Dong Newspaper's Legal Office replied:

Article 10 of Decree 284/2025/ND-CP regulating the organization and operation of the defense inspectorate (effective from November 6, 2025), stipulates the duties and powers of the Military Region Inspectorate as follows:

1. Draft an inspection plan, report to the Inspectorate of the Ministry of National Defense for consideration and giving architectural opinions before implementing the Military Region Command to give architectural opinions on accounts; promulgate and organize the implementation of the transmission plan.

2. Inspect the implementation of policies, laws, tasks and powers for agencies, units, organizations and individuals under the management of the Military Region Command; inspect the implementation of policies and laws of agencies, organizations and individuals in the field of national defense under the management of the Military Region.

3. Other work assigned by the Military Region Command.

4. Monitor, Adjust, and inspect the implementation of conclusions and recommendations of the Military Region Inspectorate and decisions on handling inspection by the Military Region Commander. Synthesize reports on the results of activities under the management of the military region.

5. Conduct preliminary review, summary, and participate in compiling professional documents for national defense inspection.

Thus, the duties and powers of the Military Region Inspectorate are prescribed as above.
