Clause 1, Article 11, Circular 30/2026/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training Regulating professional standards for teachers of general education institutions (effective from April 14, 2026), stipulates the standards for training and fostering levels for secondary school teachers rank III as follows:
a) Having a bachelor's degree or higher in a teacher training major suitable for the teaching subject or having a bachelor's degree or higher in a major suitable for the teaching subject and having a pedagogical certificate for secondary school teachers; except for the cases specified in points b, c of this clause;
b) Teachers teaching Art subjects (Music, Fine Arts) must meet the standard qualifications trained according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 20 of Decree No. 93/2026/ND-CP dated March 31, 2026 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Teachers;
c) Teachers teaching ethnic minority language subjects must meet the standard qualifications trained according to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 20 of Decree No. 93/2026/ND-CP dated March 31, 2026 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Teachers;
d) Having a professional standard training certificate for secondary school teachers.
Thus, from April 14, 2026, secondary school teachers ranked III need to meet the above standards for training and fostering.
