Conditions for age to take the resident doctor recruitment exam
The age requirement for taking the inpatient medical examination is based on Decision 19/2006/QD-BYT.
Article 3 of the Regulations issued with Decision 19/2006/QD-BYT stipulates the subjects and conditions for taking the inpatient doctor recruitment exam as follows:
Article 3. Conditions for taking the entrance exam
1. Students who meet the following conditions are eligible to take the resident doctor recruitment exam:
a) Have a university degree in the major corresponding to the major applied for and achieve a good grade or higher.
b) During his/her college years, he/she must not be disciplined with a warning or more or have his/her studies not stopped (except for health reasons).
c) Age not exceeding 27.
d) Have enough health to serve long-term in the health sector as prescribed in the Circular inter-Ministry of Health - University, Secondary School and Enterprises No. 10/TT-LB dated August 18, 1989 and guiding document No. 2445/TS dated May 20, 1990 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
2. Some majors with specific health requirements will be regulated by training institutions.
3. Graduates with excellent grades, if they meet the conditions stated in Points b), c) and d) Clause 1 and Clause 2 of Article 3 shall be considered for exemption from the entrance exam.
