Conditions for exit through automatic control gates from September 28, 2026

Clause 1, Article 20, Decree 320/2026/ND-CP (effective from September 28, 2026) stipulates the amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of Decree No. 77/2020/ND-CP stipulating the management and exploitation of information in the National immigration database; online public services serving the issuance, management, and control of immigration by the Automatic Control Portal have been amended and supplemented to a number of articles of Decree No. 67/2024/ND-CP as follows:

a) Amending and supplementing Article 10

Article 10. Exit and entry through automatic control gates

1. Subjects exiting and entering the country through automatic control gates

a) Vietnamese citizens;

b) Foreigners.

2. Conditions for exit and entry through automatic control gates

a) Vietnamese citizens who have been collected and updated with sufficient information into the National Immigration Database or have been granted a level 02 electronic identification account;

b) Foreigners who have been collected and updated with sufficient information into the National Immigration Database or have been granted an electronic identification account.

Thus, from September 28, 2026, to exit and enter the country through automatic control gates, it is necessary to meet the conditions according to the above regulations.
