How much is the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee fined in the field of forestry

Clause 1, Article 31 of Decree 146/2026/ND-CP Regulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of forestry (effective from June 25, 2026), stipulates that the Chairman of the People's Committee of communes, wards, and special zones (hereinafter referred to as commune level) has the power to:

a) Warning;

b) A fine of up to 250,000,000 VND;

c) Suspending forest exploitation activities for a maximum term of up to 06 months or suspending the operation of forest product processing facilities for a maximum term of up to 06 months;

d) Confiscation of exhibits and means of administrative violations;

d) Applying remedial measures specified in points a, c, d and i, clause 1, Article 28 of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations and clause 3, Article 4 of this Decree.

Thus, from June 25, 2026, the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee will be fined up to 250 million VND in the forestry sector.
