How to receive a one-time allowance for pensioners

1. Implementation procedures:

Step 1:

People who are receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits and wish to settle abroad must submit their application to the social insurance agency.

Step 2:

Within 7 working days from the date of receiving the complete application as prescribed, the social insurance agency is responsible for handling the application.

In case of not resolving the issue, a written response must be provided stating the reason.

3.1. Component of the dossier

- Document requesting one-time allowance;

- Certificate of resignation from Vietnamese nationality or certified Vietnamese translation or notarized one of the following documents:

+ Passport issued by foreign countries;

+ Vias issued by a competent foreign agency confirming the permission to enter the country to settle abroad;

+ Long-term permanent residence card abroad issued by a competent foreign agency;

+ Other legal documents showing settlement abroad as prescribed by the Government.

4. Scope of settlement:

- Within 7 working days from the date of receipt of complete documents as prescribed.

5. Subjects performing administrative procedures:

- People receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits.

6. Administrative procedure performing agency:

- Social insurance agencies according to the decentralization of Vietnam Social Insurance.

7. Results of administrative procedures: Decision on receiving one-time allowance

According to the regulations of the Vietnam Social Insurance.
