Steps to change ID cards on VNeID due to changes in administrative units
On the afternoon of August 12, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order Police, Ministry of Public Security informed about the issuance and exchange of ID cards when the administrative unit changes, implemented on VNeID.
Accordingly, citizens with valid ID cards still have their ID cards printed according to the old administrative unit, while the place of residence/administrative unit has been changed due to arrangement and adjustment - those who change their ID cards.
People can do it online on the VNeID application. Have a level 2 VNeID account (identified, approved).
According to the authorities, when changing ID cards, people have some benefits: Exemption from fees when choosing the right reason "due to the arrangement/adjustment of administrative units"; flexible schedule; monitor status; receive results at the agency or by post.
C06 informed that there are 3 steps on VNeID:
1) enter the ID card public service → Issuance and Exchange → to select the reason "due to the arrangement/adjustment of administrative units".
2) Check information → choose the place of implementation and form of receipt → Submit documents.
3) Follow the History of requirements → to collect according to the schedule (if any).
Processing time: about 7 working days from the date of receipt of all valid documents.
Results: The new ID card has updated the administrative unit.
