Occupational diseases and the responsibility of occupational disease examination and treatment facilities
The newly issued Ministry of Health Circular 56/2025/TT-BYT guiding occupational disease management takes effect from February 15, 2026.
In which, regulations on the responsibility of medical examination and treatment facilities for occupational diseases are based on Article 19.
Article 19. Responsibilities of vocational medical examination and treatment facilities
1. Responsible for coordinating with employers when there are requirements for: planning and conducting health check-ups before work placement, health check-ups for detecting occupational diseases according to regulations.
2. Organize occupational disease consultations (if necessary) according to the provisions of the law on medical examination and treatment; be responsible before the law for the results of occupational disease diagnosis.
3. join medical examination councils at all levels for occupational disease assessment (when required).
4. Develop, update, connect and share data from the Database on Occupational Diseases with the National Database on Health in accordance with the provisions of law for the contents specified in Clause 3, Article 21 of this Circular.
