58-year-old can still participate in voluntary social insurance
Mr. Tran Huy (Hanoi) asked: Can my mother, who is 58 years old this year, participate in voluntary social insurance anymore?
Hanoi Social Insurance answers:
Pursuant to Point a, Clause 4 of the Law on Social Insurance 2024, it is stipulated that: Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and over who are not subject to compulsory social insurance and are not pensioners, social insurance beneficiaries, or monthly beneficiaries of voluntary social insurance beneficiaries.
The mother of this year's reader, who is 58 years old, if not a pensioner, social insurance beneficiary, or a monthly beneficiary, can register to participate in voluntary social insurance.
For guidance, advice, and registration to participate in voluntary social insurance, you can contact the social insurance agency or the nearest social insurance and health insurance collection service organization ( post office, PVI) in the locality where you live.
