Tuyen Quang provides job counseling to more than 300 people about to complete their prison sentences
Tuyen Quang - More than 300 prisoners about to finish serving their prison sentences have been consulted, oriented for their careers and introduced to jobs.
On August 24, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Employment Service Center coordinated with Quyet Tien Prison (Ministry of Public Security) to organize a conference to advise, orient career and introduce jobs to prisoners who are about to complete their prison sentences.
At the conference, prisoners were propagandized and consulted by representatives of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Employment Service Center and agencies and units on the policies and guidelines of the Central and local governments on vocational training; loans to solve employment for those who have completed their prison sentences and returned to their localities to reintegrate into the community.
At the same time, the authorities also consulted on contents related to information on the labor market, recruitment needs of businesses, recruitment information, and training professions.
Organizing propaganda, information, consultation, and career orientation has contributed to raising awareness, roles, and responsibilities for the effectiveness of vocational training, solving employment for those who have completed their prison sentences and returned to the community.
Many policies and guidelines on vocational training, job creation for workers in general and workers who have completed their prison sentences in particular of the Central and local governments have been issued, contributing significantly to the work of community reintegration.
According to information from Quyet Tien Prison, during the amnesty on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 2025), more than 300 prisoners with good reform were considered for amnesty.
