More than 23,000 workers in Lai Chau go to work outside the province

According to Lai Chau Department of Home Affairs, in 2025, the province has actively connected, searched for the labor market and advised on the implementation of job creation for 10,134 workers, exceeding the plan by 7.1%.

Each year, the province has about 18,000-20,000 workers leaving the province to find jobs, mainly working in industrial parks in the North and the southern provinces.

Of which, in 2025 alone, 23,019 workers will go to work outside the province.

In addition, the province is also interested in implementing labor export work well, according to long-term contracts and seasonal contracts.

Most recently, in August 2025, the Department of Home Affairs advised the Provincial People's Committee to sign a cooperation agreement with the two localities of Korea, bringing the total number of localities in Korea that Lai Chau is cooperating with to 3.

The number of workers working abroad in 2025 will reach 628 workers, exceeding the assigned plan by nearly 300%.

Speaking at the 2025 Job Fair, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Lai Chau province emphasized the important role of the fair in connecting supply and demand.
