Can Tho businesses race to "hunt" for seasonal personnel
Can Tho - The race to hunt for human resources at the end of the year in Can Tho is gradually heating up, with competitive salaries and many attractive benefits.
Hunting for seasonal personnel
At the end of 2025, when consumer demand skyrocketed, many businesses and stores in Can Tho City are actively recruiting seasonal workers. The common point of this year's market is the very competitive remuneration and flexible working hours to attract students and workers.

Mr. Luu Chi Bang - Supervisor and personnel manager of Ca Dao Restaurant (Can Tho City) - said that at the end of the year and near Tet, the demand for human resources increased sharply. Therefore, restaurants are in need of seasonal positions such as catering, catering, mixing... with a minimum salary of VND 18,000/hour, depending on their capacity and the job in charge. During Tet, salaries will be multiplied according to regulations.
"We aim at students or workers with free time. The work is very flexible, students can register for a shift in accordance with their schedule. Good-working employees will have the opportunity to retain their official work after Tet, said Mr. Bang.

At the ITADA Spicy Bread system (Mac Thien Tich branch, Can Tho City), the demand for seasonal personnel for each Tet season usually increases by about 70%. Ms. Ha Thi Cam Nhung - System Manager of this system - shared that the unit is recruiting about 60 employees with high salaries per day. In particular, during peak days (from the 29th to the 4th of Tet), the salary can be up to 40,000 VND/hour with a food allowance. For personnel who want to stay long-term, the salary is 6.5 million VND/month (no more than 2 days off/month).
Taking advantage of the free time from now until the Lunar New Year 2026, student Vo Quoc Bao (Cai Khe Ward, Can Tho City) is looking for a seasonal position with an environment and suitable work schedule. In particular, this male student's top priority is an income of about 7 million VND/month (including overtime) to have more expenses to cover Tet.
Avoid the trap of "easy work, high salary"
According to a survey by the Can Tho City Employment Service Center (DVVL), the demand for labor recruitment of businesses in the area is currently on the rise, especially at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026. Among the businesses that need to recruit, many units are in high demand for seasonal positions such as sales staff, security guards, cleaning, delivery, service, kitchen assistant, etc.

On that basis, the Center has promoted solutions to connect supply and demand, to support and meet the needs of businesses and workers; at the same time, avoiding the situation where bad actors take advantage of the "easy work, high salary" trap.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Employment Service Center - informed that the Center regularly surveys and forecasts the labor market; promotes connections and supports businesses and workers in many forms; organizes mobile job fairs at schools and localities to connect jobs and bring official and legal information to workers looking for jobs with employers in need.
To support workers far from the city to access information about jobs, the Center has implemented the unit's online information channels on the electronic information portal and social networking platform. At the same time, at job fairs, the Center also arranges computers and online connections between workers and businesses through support software.
