Along with that, Ms. Tuong Thi Thu - a retired cadre - found new opportunities for herself at the job fair. With the desire to " earn more income than salary", Ms. Thu proactively went to the event.

What convinced Ms. Thu was not only a suitable job, but also a commitment to training from the business. Ms. Thu said: At first, I was also worried that I would not be able to do it, but the company had committed to training professional skills and knowledge about work. After the training course, the company will directly introduce jobs".

Solving the problem of employment after the merger

Dong Anh commune was formed on the basis of merging the entire natural area, the population of communes with a natural area of 48.68 km2; the population of more than 122,000 people.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong - Vice Chairman of Dong Anh Commune People's Committee, after 4 months of operating the 2-level local government model, the apparatus of the Commune People's Committee has basically operated to ensure smoothness, discipline, and order in performing public duties.

Therefore, Dong Anh commune has agreed to direct the focus and priority of solving employment for workers. In particular, the commune identifies organizing a Mobile Job Fair as a practical and effective solution. At the same time, this is also the first mobile job fair after implementing the two-level local government arrangement of Dong Anh commune.

At this Mobile Job Fair, more than 30 business units participated in direct recruitment; including labor recruitment and export units. The recruitment units are units with high brands and reputations, recruiting a variety of occupations such as: sales staff; office staff; warehouse managers; engineers; sewing workers; drivers; unskilled workers with attractive salaries from recruiting units.

"The People's Committee hopes that through mobile job fairs, businesses will be able to recruit many targets, which means that many workers in the commune will have suitable jobs and vocational training, meeting their own aspirations, increasing income, stabilizing their lives; also contributing to ensuring social security in the commune", said Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong.
