In case from January 1, 2026, the regional minimum wage for 2025 will still be applied

Decree 293/2025/ND-CP issued on November 10, 2025, effective from January 1, 2026.

According to the Decree, the regional minimum wage from January 1, 2026 is 5.31 million VND/month (for Region I); 4.73 million VND/month (for Region II); 4.14 million VND/month (for Region III) and 3.7 million VND/month (for Region IV).

Also according to the provisions of the Decree, in cases where, due to the application of the local adjustment, the minimum wage associated with the area in the Appendix attached to Decree 293/2025/ND-CP is lower than the minimum wage prescribed by the Government at the time of December 31, 2025, employers must continue to implement the minimum wage at the time of December 31, 2025 for employees recruited from December 31, 2025 onwards until the Government has new regulations.

Currently, according to Decree No. 74/2024/ND-CP, the minimum monthly salary in 4 regions is stipulated as follows: Region I: 4.96 million VND/month; Region II: 4.41 million VND/month; Region III: 3.86 million VND/month; Region IV: 3.45 million VND/month.
