Many communes agree with the proposal of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on adjusting the regional minimum wage
HCMC - The HCMC Labor Federation (HFF) proposed adjusting the minimum wage (LTT) from region III to region II for some communes in the city.
Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has sent a document to the competent authority proposing to adjust the regional minimum wage (LTT) for some communes in the city drafted in the Decree regulating LTT for employees working under Labor Contracts (abbreviated as the draft).
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, in the city, there are communes and wards bordering each other but applying the LTT level of region I (VND5.31 million/month) and region III (VND4.14 million/month) with a difference of 28.3%.
For example, Chau Duc commune and Kim Long commune apply the LTT level of region III. These two communes are adjacent to Tan Thanh Ward, applying the LTT level of Region I, with a difference of 1.17 million VND/month. Or Con Dao Special Zone applies the LTT level of Region III adjacent to Vung Tau Ward applying the LTT level of Region I.
Based on the proposal of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs held a meeting with representatives of the Labor Federation, the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, Ho Chi Minh City branch, People's Committees of 6 communes and Con Dao Special Zone on this issue.

As a result, the communes of Kim Long, Chau Duc, Nghia Thanh, Long Duc, Long Dien agreed with the proposal of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to adjust the regional LTT level prescribed in the draft in these localities from region III (VND4.14 million/month) to region II (VND4.73 million/month). The representative of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City also agreed with this proposal.
The representative of Con Dao Special Zone specifically proposed to consider including in the draft the regional LTT level here from region III to region I (5.31 million VND/month).
