The validity of the labor license is extended for foreign workers
The Government has just issued Decree 219/2025/ND-CP regulating foreign workers working in Vietnam.
Regarding the duration of the extended labor license for foreign workers working in Vietnam according to Article 29, specifically as follows:
Article 29. The validity of the labor license is extended
The term of a labor permit is extended according to the term of one of the cases specified in Article 21 of this Decree but can only be extended once with a maximum term of 2 years.
Article 21. The duration of the labor license and the confirmation certificate are not subject to a labor license
2 notable contents are the duration of the labor license and the certificate not subject to the issuance of a labor license issued according to the duration of one of the following cases but not exceeding 2 years; the duration of the certificate not subject to the issuance of a labor license in the cases specified in Clauses 14 and 15, Article 7 of this Decree is the duration confirmed by ministries, ministerial-level agencies or provincial People's Committees, but not exceeding 2 years.
