In August 2025, the labor market policy in Hanoi was effectively implemented, supporting businesses and workers in the process of finding jobs.
In August 2025, the Hanoi Employment Service Center provided job counseling, vocational training, unemployment insurance and labor law policies to 46,148 employees and 1,603 enterprises; introduced jobs to 4,044 people.
In addition, the Center has organized 12 job fairs (including 4 online job fairs), with 60 units participating in recruitment with a total of 12,747 recruitment and enrollment spending; 3.96 workers interviewed at job fairs, 1,255 workers received applications and recruitment.
Regarding support and settlement of unemployment insurance (UI) policies, in August, the Center received 6,811 applications for AI (a decrease of 262 cases compared to the previous month). Appraised and issued decisions to receive unemployment benefits for 5,240 cases (a decrease of 3,653 records compared to the previous month) with a support amount of 181.4 billion VND.
During the month, 608 applications for unemployment benefits were submitted through the National Public Service Portal, and 503 applications were eligible for consideration and settlement. During the month, 37 workers decided to support vocational training with a support amount of 298.5 million VND.
Unemployment insurance policies play an important role in stabilizing the labor market and ensuring social security for workers through financial support measures, job counseling for unemployed workers and supporting training and skills improvement, thereby helping workers return to the market soon, said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center.
