Training on the Law on Social Insurance for nearly 100 union officials
Soc Trang - 100 union officials at all levels were trained on the Law on Social Insurance and guiding documents for implementation in 2025.
On the afternoon of May 30, the Standing Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor held a training and propaganda conference on the Law on Social Insurance and guiding documents for implementation in 2025.
Nearly 100 delegates attended, including Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of Labor Federations of districts, towns and cities; representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union, the Provincial Party Trade Union, the Industrial Parks Trade Union and related units.
At the conference, delegates were disseminated the key contents of the Law on Social Insurance and new regulations related to health insurance, unemployment insurance, as well as the rights and obligations of employees. The conference also spent time analyzing and clarifying new points in the social insurance policy to help union officials grasp it, thereby effectively carrying out propaganda work at the grassroots level.
Through the training program, the aim is to improve the capacity and legal knowledge of grassroots union cadres; effectively promote the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees.
In addition, the conference also emphasized raising awareness of workers and employees in complying with laws on labor, trade unions, and gender equality; promoting the role and position of women in the family and society; strengthening measures to prevent and combat violence against female and child workers; contributing to building a safe, healthy and progressive working environment.
