Regulations on working regime for teachers from 1.1.2026
The working regime of teachers from January 1, 2026 is based on the 2025 Teachers' Law.
Article 16 of the 2025 Law on Teachers stipulates:
Work regime of teachers
1. The working regime of teachers includes working hours, annual summer vacation and other holidays as prescribed by law.
2. Teachers' working time is the time spent performing professional activities as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 7 of this Law.
3. The annual summer vacation and other holidays for teachers are arranged appropriately for teachers at each level of education, training level and type of educational institution according to Government regulations.
4. The Minister of Education and Training shall specify in detail the working regime for teachers at all levels of education and training level, except for the cases specified in Clause 5 of this Article.
5. The Minister of Public Security and the Minister of National Defense shall specify in detail the working regime for teachers under their management authority.
Thus, from January 1, 2026, the 2025 Teachers' Law takes effect, the working regime of teachers includes:
- Teachers' working regime includes working hours, annual summer vacation and other holidays as prescribed by law.
- Teachers' working time is the time to carry out professional activities as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 7 of the 2025 Law on Teachers.
- Annual summer vacation and other holidays for teachers are arranged appropriately for teachers at each level of education, training level and type of educational institution according to Government regulations.
- The Minister of Education and Training shall specify in detail the working regime for teachers at all levels of education and training level, except for the cases specified in Clause 5, Article 16 of the 2025 Law on Teachers.
- The Minister of Public Security and the Minister of National Defense shall specify in detail the working regime for teachers under their management authority.
