Subjects eligible for tuition support for children under 18 years old according to Decree 249

Decree 249/2025/ND-CP stipulates mechanisms and policies to attract experts in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.

In particular, the policy for family members of experts specified in Article 10 includes tuition support for children of experts under 18 years old in public educational and training institutions.

Article 10. Policy for family members of experts

In addition to the policy to enjoy with experts specified in Point b, Point c, Clause 7, Article 8 of this Decree, members of a family of experts (including: Husband or wife, children under 18 years old) while in Vietnam also enjoy the following policies:

1. Support to find schools and support tuition fees for children under 18 years old in public educational and training institutions.

2. Provided with a voluntary health care package for the family each year not exceeding 01% of the annual salary stated in the labor contract of the expert.

3. Support in introducing and facilitating access to job opportunities in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and other relevant legal provisions.

4. Having been issued a visa many times, the temporary residence card corresponds to the working time of the expert (if any).

In addition, agencies, organizations and individuals nominating experts also have support policies.

Article 11. Policy for agencies, organizations, and individuals nominating experts

After 12 months from the date of signing the labor contract, if the expert meets the requirements of the assigned program and task, the agency, organization or individual nominating the expert will be awarded 1 month's salary stated in the expert's labor contract.
