272 workers authorize trade unions to sue enterprises in court
HCMC - 2,736 workers were consulted and provided with legal support, and 272 cases authorized by trade unions to file lawsuits to protect their rights.
Information from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on January 18 said that in 2025, Ho Chi Minh City trade unions at all levels have proactively coordinated with authorities and counter-level professionals to effectively implement grassroots democracy regulations at 4,277 units in the State sector and 10,801 non-State enterprises.
Of which, 4,089 State-owned units organized conferences for civil servants and 9,856 non-state enterprises organized conferences for workers, with 379 newly signed labor agreements at enterprises.
Ho Chi Minh City trade unions at all levels also coordinated to inspect and supervise compliance with labor laws at 46,230 enterprises, promptly detecting and proposing to handle violations of wages, insurance regimes and occupational safety and hygiene.
Legal consulting and legal aid work has been effectively implemented by Ho Chi Minh City Trade Unions at all levels. As a result, 2,736 union members and workers have been consulted and supported legally, including 272 cases where workers authorized representative union organizations to participate in litigation in court to protect their rights.
