Honoring 40 families of outstanding Electricity workers at the Group level

Hanoi On August 21, the Group and the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union honored the children of employees who won international and national awards and outstanding families at the Group level.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN); Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of EVN Party Committee; Vo Quang Lam - Deputy General Director of EVN; Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium, Deputy Head of Labor Relations Department of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.

In the 2024-2025 school year, 74 children of electricity workers won national and international awards. Including 1 Gold Medal of the International Informatics Olympiad, 2 First Prizes, 13 Second Prizes, 35 National Third Prizes in cultural subjects and many National Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals in sports and talent. These are figures that demonstrate the talent, continuous efforts and studious spirit of the children.

It is known that the whole Group has more than 33,915 children who have won the title of excellent student at all levels, thousands of children who have won awards from district, county, province, city level and especially 1 child who has won the regional and international excellent student award. Each achievement is a great joy, a source of pride not only for the children's families, but also for the common joy of the entire EVN extended family.

On this occasion, 40 families of outstanding officers and employees at the Group level in 2025, representing thousands of families working throughout EVN, were also honored. The families have overcome many difficulties, both completing their work tasks excellently and taking good care of their children's education, building a warm and happy home. Families are a solid support, a spiritual support for each cadre and employee.

Speaking here, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - General Director of EVN highly appreciated the academic achievements of the children of the staff and especially thanked the exemplary families at the Group level. Because the family is the mainstay, the endless source of encouragement for every cadre and employee of the Electricity industry. These factors are especially important for officers and workers who are working hard on key projects.

For many consecutive years, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union has deeply and widely implemented the Plan and instructions of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on implementing Directive No. 28-CT/TW dated December 25, 2023 of the Politburo on strengthening the care, education and protection of children to meet the requirements of developing a prosperous and happy country for union members and workers. Thereby encouraging union members and workers to build happy families, raise children to be good and study well.

The commendation ceremony held also has a meaningful celebration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
