Good worker

Among the female union members of Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang, an employee of the Technology Team, Garment Factory 1, is a typical example of the image of a determined, creative and responsible young worker. After more than 12 years of working, from an ordinary garment worker, she has matured in the emulation movement launched by the Trade Union, becoming the "Golden Hand" of the Vietnam Textile and Garment industry.

Joining the company in 2013, the then 19-year-old girl had a passion for sewing and a progressive spirit. In any position, she tries to learn, persists in working to master all stages. It was that diligence that helped her move to the model sewing department, which required high skills and absolute accuracy. After six years working here, she has not only mastered the techniques but also practiced a professional, careful and meticulous working style.

When assigned as the leader of the model sewing group, Ms. Trang was not only the one who directly took on complex projects but also the " Attic" of the group's dynamic union members. Wherever there is an emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers", there are women, both propagating and working with workers to propose improvements and share vocational experiences.

That spirit is clearly demonstrated through the initiative to improve the clearing of the folding step using a machine with a cutting knife, helping to reduce 20% of operating time, save equipment costs and reduce labor for workers. After being recognized by the grassroots Trade Union, this initiative was applied in many garment groups, contributing to increasing the overall productivity of the factory.

The Trade Union of Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company considers examples like Nguyen Thi Trang as a vivid testament to the accompanying and encouraging role of the Trade Union organization in the development process of workers. Through specific movements, from skills competitions, "Workers' Month", to initiative competitions, the Union has become a place where each union member can demonstrate their abilities, assert themselves and stick with the enterprise.

Good at public affairs, good at housework

Not only a good tailor, Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang is also a exemplary union member in union activities and social life. She is always present in art movements, sports, cooking competitions, voluntary blood donations, and participates in donations to support workers in difficulty.

For many consecutive years, Ms. Trang has achieved the title of Outstanding Worker, Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level, Outstanding Union Member and has been honored by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union as a typical and outstanding advanced individual for the period 20202025. In particular, the title of "Golden Hands" of the 2023 Vietnam Textile and Garment Industry Skilled Workers Competition is a noble award for the efforts of a female worker who is both passionate about her job and loves the organization.

In parallel with her work at the company, Ms. Trang is also a responsible woman in the family. Despite her busy schedule, she still spends time taking care of her small family, taking care of her parents, and teaching her children.

In the context of the Textile and Garment industry making efforts to change technology and restructure production, the grassroots trade union identified the human factor, especially female workers, as the center. People like Nguyen Thi Trang are the core to contribute to creating a united, professional and inspiring working environment.
