Sharing with PV of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - said that he has been attached to the Thanh Hoa Trade Union for more than 17 years.

Having held many positions, from specialist to key leadership position, in each position, Mr. Tuan has always demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, strongness and sensitivity in the fields of policies, law and labor relations.

I always keep in mind that union officials must first of all be friends, protectors, and trusted companions of workers and laborers. Only by understanding and sharing with them can we be long-term attached and devoted to the workers' movement and trade union activities, Mr. Tuan shared.

According to Mr. Tuan, in addition to research, policy and legal advice and labor relations, he always proactively follows the grassroots, directly goes to businesses and industrial parks to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers, promptly advise on resolving arising conflicts and disputes. Thanks to that, many cases in labor relations have been effectively handled, contributing to maintaining stable labor relations, creating a safe and harmonious investment environment in the province.

With Mr. Tuan's advice, many guiding documents and plans of the Thanh Hoa Trade Union have become a bright spot in the national Trade Union system, both ensuring compliance with legal regulations and being close to grassroots reality.

From 2020 to present, the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations headed by Mr. Tuan has always completed its tasks excellently, and has been awarded a Comprehensive Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for many consecutive years. This is a clear demonstration of the leadership, management and collective cohesion capacity of leaders who are "both dedicated and capable".

Inspirers in the workers' movement

Many Thanh Hoa Trade Union officials assessed that Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tuan is not only a good cadre in policies and laws but also a "fire-fighting" to inspire and strongly arouse emulation movements among workers, civil servants and laborers.

Under the direction and guidance of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, movements such as "Good workers, creative workers", "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene", "Joining hands to build new rural areas" ... were widely implemented, spreading strongly, attracting tens of thousands of union members to participate.

According to the assessment of grassroots union officials, Mr. Tuan is a simple, humble person but proficient and proficient. In his work, he is determined and resolute with negative manifestations and group interests; in his daily life, he lives in harmony and closeness, always paying attention to the lives and concerns of officers and specialists in the unit.

He is also a pioneer in social, humanitarian and charitable activities; actively mobilizing and effectively managing the "Union Shelter" Fund - now the "Trade Union Members, Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers Support Fund of Thanh Hoa province", thereby helping thousands of union members in difficulty have stable housing and settle down.

With his continuous efforts, dedication and contributions, over the past 5 years, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tuan has been commended by all levels from the central to local levels, typically: Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2020; title of Emulation Fighter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2021; Certificate of Merit of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee in 2023; Certificate of Merit of the Minister of Public Security in 2025; title of Outstanding Trade Union officer of the whole province in 2024; typical example of the patriotic emulation movement of Thanh Hoa workers in the period of 2020-2025.

In particular, with outstanding contributions, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tuan is the only full-time provincial-level Trade Union official among the 7 outstanding delegates of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, representing union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide to attend the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress in 2025, scheduled to take place at the National Convention Center.
