Mr. Nguyen Van Cong (born in 1997) - engineer of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (SeV factory), Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh province - has had many initiatives to benefit businesses.

Benefiting businesses nearly 9.9 billion VND

In 2021, graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, majoring in Automation - industrialization, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong was trained by SEV Factory and recruited after the final internship. He diligently contributed, affirming his abilities and passion. Having been with the company's automation department for nearly 5 years, on average each year, Mr. Cong and his colleagues have proposed applying technical innovation initiatives for 15 to 20 projects with "huge" benefits for businesses.

One of his outstanding initiatives that has been effectively applied in production is Automatic device design, image processing support. Previously, this stage required 8-10 workers to operate, and errors could arise due to manual operation. Mr. Cong and his colleagues research and analyze the time, operation, and simple equipment currently in use. He proposed to the company's leaders to automate the stage and improve the unsuitable and inflexible machine structures. This idea was programmed by a group of engineers, improving speed, performance and image processing quality, optimizing the use of labor.

Then, in April 2025, Mr. Cong and his colleagues continued to propose and were rewarded by business leaders with the initiative " applying robots and artificial intelligence technology to the design of external automatic machines". When put into application, this idea has reduced dozens of workers compared to before. The machine is designed neatly, suitable for the production line area and productivity of the current and future factory; easy to adjust when changing code and capable of upgrading if necessary.

The two initiatives of the young engineer and his colleagues have contributed to reducing labor costs, transferring surplus labor to other lines, with a total value of benefits for the enterprise of nearly 9.9 billion VND.

Accepting future technology development trends

With his contributions, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong has been awarded many awards: First Prize of the SEV and SEVT Technical Skills Competition (factory of Samsung Thai Nguyen Group) in 2024; First Prize of the Samsung Vietnam Skills Competition 2025 (technical skills competition of 6 Samsung law Firms nationwide); Best Jump-Up award ( given to individuals with initiatives and high vulnerability throughout the SEV factory) in the third quarter of 2025.

In August 2025, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong was honored to receive the Certificate of "Creative Labor" from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. That is a worthy reward for the young engineer with his tireless efforts. Not only good at his profession, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong is also a sociable person, willing to share knowledge and experience with his colleagues. He is always trusted by the company, assigned the task of directly guiding and training new technicians, helping them quickly master the equipment, operate accurately and especially strictly comply with the machine operation process, ensuring labor safety.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong expressed his great joy and felt lucky to have worked in the right profession.

I want to improve my skills, become better every day, want to prove myself, do well to see my worth. In addition, working well helps me have the opportunity to be promoted and increase my salary to support my family".

Mr. Nguyen Van Cong shared that in the coming time, he will make more efforts to improve his professional qualifications, propose new production ideas, and anticipate future technology development trends, especially the application of artificial intelligence.

Mr. Lai Hoang Dung - Director of Training and Development Department, Chairman of SEV Company's Trade Union - assessed that Mr. Nguyen Van Cong is a shining example in the emulation movement of the enterprise, inspiring creativity for the technical staff.
