Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ly is a worker at Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. At just 27 years old, with the desire to contribute and the passion for creativity, Ms. Ly has had an initiative that brought many benefits to the business. That is the initiative to build AI camera software to detect defective products. The idea of this initiative came during a time when Ms. Ly was cooking.
At that time, Ms. Ly looked at the facial recognition phone to unlock and suddenly wondered if technology could recognize faces, why can't it recognize product errors. After many months of research and testing, the first prototype of the AI camera device was released.
The system can identify product errors with high accuracy and speed many times faster than manual inspection. More importantly, it significantly reduces pressure on the inspection team and contributes to improving the quality of output products.
The company has applied the above AI camera software to over 16 devices in the production line; ensuring 100% of product output quality; cutting 12 manual inspection workers; saving about 1.8 billion VND in the period of 2024 - 2025.
Ms. Ly shared that as a female worker in the technical field - a field that is considered a "playground" for men, she once faced many prejudices and invisible barriers. Therefore, even though she did not say it, everyone saw Ms. Ly's efforts to be recognized, not only for her professional ability but also for her perseverance and ability to adapt.
Another difficulty is convincing the parties involved. At first, some colleagues were skeptical about the feasibility of the AI camera solution. But this is the time for Ms. Ngoc Ly to practice her will and patience to pursue her ideas.
Not only Ms. Ly, but any creative worker hopes to have the trust of the employer. That belief is the motivation for each worker to confidently promote their abilities in labor and production.
There are many businesses that build criteria for workers to be creative right from an idea without having to become an initiative. When each idea is respected with confidence, it will have the opportunity to become an initiative that brings benefits to businesses.

At the Forum "Promoting the creative potential of workers" - one of the activities of the 2025 Creative Labor Festival, many opinions were exchanged from scientists, experts, businesses to workers who are directly working and producing.
A lot of information, solutions, ideas, and suggestions were shared at the forum, thereby contributing to removing barriers and innovating management thinking to maximize the creative potential of workers in the digital transformation era.
Discussing the need for workers to promote creativity, Mr. Vu Van Hoan - Engineer of PTSC Maritime Mechanical Services Company, Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation - said that to promote creativity, it is necessary to have a vision of leadership, a clear strategy and effective communication to each worker.
From there, workers will see their role, responsibility, and pride. The vision of leaders, when it becomes a personal motivation, will become a great strength for workers. But more importantly, according to Mr. Hoan, national pride and self-respect are very important things to promote creativity. Because there is also the sacred patriotism.
The emulation movement, especially the emulation of good workers and creative workers, both creates conditions and motivates each worker to be creative. An factor that workers expect when responding to emulation movements is the trust of leaders and colleagues so that they can take a steady step in the process of exploring, creating, and improving from unreasonable details during working hours.
