Ho Chi Minh City - The City Labor Federation signed regulations on coordination with the Party Committees of wards, communes, and special zones to improve trade union activities, care for and protect workers.

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) signed regulations on coordination with the Party Committees of wards, communes, and special zones in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of May 14.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - acknowledged the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of communes, wards, and special zones for the activities of ward, commune, and special zone trade unions in the past time.

Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan said that in the past time, trade union activities in wards, communes, and special economic zones have faced many difficulties due to the lack of clear and complete regulations on the role and position of this organization. With the creation of conditions and support from the Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of wards, communes, and special economic zones, the activities of trade unions in wards, communes, and special economic zones of Ho Chi Minh City have practical activities, closer to grassroots levels, union members, and workers with very creative models.

However, practice shows that the situation of workers and laborers still has many issues that need to be addressed; labor relations in some places still have potential risks of disputes arising; the lives of a part of workers are still difficult; the demand for housing, jobs, social security, and cultural institutions serving workers is increasing.

The signing of the coordination regulations between the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the Party Committees of wards, communes, and special zones is of utmost importance, a condition to promote the overall strength of the entire political system in caring for, representing and protecting workers," Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan emphasized.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation awarded the coordination regulations signed with the Party Committees of wards, communes, and special economic zones. In which, the two sides will strengthen coordination on many key contents such as: Propaganda and political and ideological education; developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations; coordinating to care for and protect the rights of workers; participating in Party building and government building; maintaining political security and social order and safety among workers and laborers.
