According to observations, located on National Highway 1A (a bypass of the old Ky Anh town, formerly belonging to Ky Long ward, now Vung Ang ward), many workers' housing areas are built with high-rise buildings, combined with modern townhouses.

On November 28, Mr. Hoang Trong Binh - Deputy General Director of Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Company Limited - said that in parallel with investing in the construction of Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant, the Company also invests in building houses for officers and employees.

Now that the factory has been basically completed (assigned to the No. 1 group since September 2025), the housing for staff and workers has also been completed and put into use. This housing area is designed with 250 apartments, enough to accommodate all leaders and employees of the Company.

Including 24 townhouses for leaders and an apartment building for officers and employees.

In each apartment, each apartment is fully equipped by the Company with essential amenities including air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners... to serve the daily needs of workers, Mr. Binh shared.

According to Mr. Binh, the distance from the workers' housing area to the Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant is about 12km. Therefore, the Company also arranges cars to pick up and drop off workers every day.

At the housing area for officers and employees of Ha Tinh Petroleum Power Company (the unit managing and operating Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant) with a system of many high-rise apartment buildings. The campus also has a dining room and sports area.

Ensuring accommodation, workers feel secure in staying long-term

Mr. Tran Van Tinh - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Petroleum Power Company - said that the housing area for the Company's staff and workers includes 5 apartment buildings (Block) each 5 floors high, with a total of 175 apartments.

"Some people have bought their own houses and built houses outside, so now the housing area for our Company's staff and workers has enough accommodation for all staff and workers in need," Mr. Tinh shared.

According to Mr. Tinh, thanks to ensuring good accommodation for the staff and workers, they settle down, are dedicated, responsible in their work and have a long-term attachment to the Company and the factory.

Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation Limited is also a business that ensures good housing for staff and workers.

In 2018, the company put into use more than 300 townhouses with a spacious, modern 2-storey design that provided accommodation for more than 300 married employees called the family dormitory area.

This dormitory is built on an area of 5.9 hectares. In addition to apartments, a supermarket, a kindergarten, and a closed park will be built to create the most favorable conditions for officers and employees living here.

In addition, Formosa Ha Tinh Industrial Steel Corporation also built many rooms for single officers and workers right in the factory premises. There are also full facilities for health care, sports areas, dining rooms... to meet the needs of workers.

According to an official of the Trade Union of Ha Tinh Economic Zone, the issue of housing for workers has recently been invested in and built modernly by many enterprises in Vung Ang Economic Zone, meeting the needs of workers.

In addition, there are also enterprises investing in building a spacious and modern housing system for workers. That contributes to ensuring accommodation for workers so that they can work with peace of mind and stay with the enterprise for a long time.

In general, there are still many small enterprises that have not built or arranged housing for workers. Hopefully, in the coming time, more businesses will focus on investing, building, and ensuring housing for workers so that they can reduce rental costs and have better living and living conditions.
