Can Tho - On October 9, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) organized a handover of the Trade Union Shelter to union member Nguyen Vu Linh - Trade Union of Lac Ty II Company Limited.
Union member Nguyen Vu Linh is not married and lives with his grandparents due to parents' separation. They are over 70 years old, have poor health, are often sick, and are no longer able to work. All of the family's living expenses depend on his income.
The old house was built over 30 years ago with a leafy roof, walls, and soil, and has seriously degraded, often flooded during the rainy season, causing humidity and unsafety.
With the support of the Can Tho City Labor Federation of 50 million VND, along with the family's savings and savings, Mr. Linh built a new house with an area of 5m x 7.7m.
Speaking at the house handover ceremony, a representative of the Can Tho City Labor Federation congratulated union member Linh's family, hoping that the newly completed Trade Union Shelter would be a place to live so that he can work with peace of mind and stick with the trade union organization.
