Ham Kiem II social housing area helps workers stabilize their housing and settle down long-term
Lam Dong - Social housing in Ham Kiem II Industrial Park is considered a solution to help workers have stable accommodation, work with peace of mind and increase the attraction of the industrial park.
On January 6, the Management Board of Lam Dong Industrial Parks said that Ham Kiem II Industrial Park (IP) has attracted 18 investment projects, creating jobs for about 4,452 workers.
This is one of the industrial parks with the top rate of occupation and rapid labor increase in the eastern area of Lam Dong province.
Along with developing production infrastructure, Ham Kiem II Industrial Park is planned as a large-scale social housing area for workers, to solve the problem of housing for workers and laborers.

The Social Housing Project for Workers has an area of over 31 hectares. The project is invested by Binh Tan Investment Joint Stock Company, approved since the time it was still in the old Binh Thuan province.
According to the plan, this housing area is not simply apartment blocks but is invested in synchronous social infrastructure.
The project includes 20 blocks of apartment buildings, 58 individual houses, 3 kindergartens, 1 primary school, 1 secondary school, a traditional market, 2 sports fields, a general clinic, a cultural house and an entertainment area...

When completed, the housing area can accommodate about 18,000 people, forming a complete workers' residential area right next to the production area.
Recently, the investor has deployed the construction of the first block of B2 apartments, including 1 basement and 9 upper floors, with 306 apartments.
This block of houses has been basically completed and is expected to be put into use in the second quarter of 2026, providing about 1,200 accommodation for workers and laborers working in the industrial park.

This is information that many workers are looking forward to. Because in reality, most workers in Ham Kiem II Industrial Park have to rent accommodation in surrounding residential areas. Therefore, living conditions are still limited, rental costs are increasing, and travel distance is increasing.
Ms. Le Thi Diem Diem - a member of the Trade Union of Right Rich International Company Limited - said that the social housing project is a great desire of many workers.
"If there is a house near the workplace, at a suitable price, and a preferential loan, workers will feel much more secure. No need to worry about increasing rental prices, children going to school far away or working in the rain and sun, Ms. Diem shared.

According to the Management Board of Lam Dong Industrial Parks, the implementation of social housing projects for workers still faces some difficulties. The adjustment of the planning related to the trade union institution project with an area of 3.45 hectares in the housing area has affected the progress.
The investor has reviewed and proposed to adjust the progress and is expected to complete the entire project in the second quarter of 2030.
In the face of the above situation, the Management Board of Industrial Parks recommends that the Provincial People's Committee consider adjusting the investment policy, creating conditions for investors to remove obstacles and speed up the project's progress.
The early completion of social housing areas not only contributes to solving the housing needs of workers but is also an important factor in attracting and retaining workers in the context of increasingly fierce human resource competition between industrial parks.
