Support union members facing housing difficulties
Cao Bang - The Provincial People's Committee Trade Union has just presented support for house building from the "Social Fund" to union members in difficult circumstances.
Responding to Workers' Month 2025, on May 28, the Trade Union of the People's Committee (UBND) of Cao Bang province visited, encouraged and presented gifts and funds to support the construction of a "Union Shelter" house to Ms. Nong Thi Mau - a member of the Provincial Continuing Education Center's Trade Union.
Ms. Mau is currently a clerical staff at the Center, and has a particularly difficult situation when raising a small child alone after a divorce, with poor health, frequent illness, and low income.
For many years, the mother and child had to temporarily live in a level 4 house that had seriously degraded, with leaky roofs, peeling walls, and damaged drainage systems, causing an unpleasant odor, especially during the rainy season.
In order to promptly encourage the spirit and support union members to overcome difficulties, the Provincial People's Committee's Trade Union presented gifts worth 1 million VND and 40 million VND in house building support funds from the "Social Fund" of the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation.
Currently, although the new house is in the process of completion, Ms. Mau still has to receive long-term treatment at Hanoi - Cao Bang General Hospital due to a prolonged illness.
