These days, Nam Dinh weather is hot and sunny, but officers, engineers and workers are still rushing to the construction site of the new Nam Dinh - Lac Quan - coastal road to race for progress.
According to information from the Nam Dinh Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Nam Dinh - Lac Quan - Coastal Road construction project is a key project in Nam Dinh with a total investment of about 6,400 billion VND. The project passes through 5 districts: Nam Truc, Truc Ninh, Hai Hau, Xuan Truong and Giao Thuy, with a total length of 24.66km.
The route is on a level I plain road, with a design speed of 100km/h, a roadbed width of 39m, an 8-lane road surface, and a clearance of about 100m across the entire route. The bridge and culvert sections on the route are designed synchronously, ensuring compliance with the scale of the road.
In the face of intense hot weather, workers working on the construction site are adjusted to work. Mr. Tran Duc Hung - Management Board of the new road project Nam Dinh - Lac Quan - Coastal Road - said that the weather these days was hot, to ensure health, the workers will be working early in the morning, then rest early to avoid heat. In the afternoon, the weather is softer and reducing the sun to work or overtime in the evening, so that it will resist the harsh weather.
In the midst of the hot heat, Mr. Nguyen Van Tien (in Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province) had to wear tightly to avoid direct sunlight on the skin. Mr. Tien said: "The weather is so harsh, you have to adapt and get used to it. In order not to affect health, when we work for a short time, our workers have to take a break, drink water to regain their strength and continue working. Everyone on the construction site and encourage each other to try to accompany the project progress."
It is known that the project is expected to be completed in 2026 according to the contract, but the management board is focusing on monitoring and urging the construction unit to focus on machinery and human resources to strive to finish ahead of schedule, expected in October 2025.
