Hai Phong - Ha Long Box Office Joint Stock Company has just had a plan to arrange workers during the production suspension period.
Accordingly, Ha Long Box Office Joint Stock Company temporarily suspended production for 14 days, from January 13 to January 28. During this time, all workers in the production sector stopped working. For the support sector and business sector, department heads arrange and assign staff and employees to take a break or take turns based on actual work.
Regarding the regime and benefits of employees during the period of work stoppage, employees working at Dong Thap Lotus Seed Supply Station are entitled to a work stoppage salary of 3.7 million VND/person/month. Employees working in the remaining areas are entitled to a severance pay of VND 5,310,000/person/month. Social insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance and other benefits are implemented in accordance with the provisions of law and the company's regulations. During the work stoppage, employees keep in touch with the direct manager to be ready to return to work if necessary.
On January 12, the City Labor Federation worked with enterprises, grassroots unions and related parties to grasp the production and business plan of enterprises in the coming time to best ensure the rights of workers, especially near the Lunar New Year 2026.
Talking to Lao Dong reporter, a representative of the Trade Union of Ha Long Box Office Joint Stock Company said that workers will still receive a Lunar New Year bonus in 2026.
Previously, the City People's Procuracy approved the Order to detain a person in an emergency case of the Hai Phong City Police Investigation Agency for Truong Sy Toan (born in 1969, residing in Ha Lam Ward, Quang Ninh Province) - General Director of Ha Long Box Office Joint Stock Company - and 3 employees of the company related to the case of transporting and trading nearly 130 tons of pork infected with African swine fever. The Investigation Police Agency of the City Police prosecuted 9 defendants for the act of providing and trading food originating from dead pigs and sick pigs due to African swine fever according to Clause 4, Article 317 of the Penal Code.
Accordingly, on September 8, 2025, the Economic Police Department - City Police discovered 2 cars, arrested Le Ba Doanh (born in 1977, residing in An Bien ward) and Trinh Ha Viet (born in 1991, residing in Ha Nam commune, Hai Phong city) who were transporting and trading 1,274.5 kg of slaughtered pork, with a foul smell, no origin, positive for the African swine fever virus from the epidemic area to companies and establishments processing food from pork in the area.
Test results determined that pork samples taken from cars of Le Ba Doanh and Trinh Ha Viet and pork samples in cold storage of Ha Long Packaging Joint Stock Company tested positive for African swine fever virus. Through an urgent search of the headquarters and warehouses of Ha Long Packaging Joint Stock Company, the City Police sealed 4 warehouses containing goods, about 130 tons of frozen pork. The Investigation Police Agency of the City Police also issued a Decision to prosecute the case of "Violating regulations on food safety".
